​​​​​​​Chris was a successful businessman, lover of travel and fitness until his life changed suddenly when he was struck down by a condition, he didn’t know he had.

21% of people with a disability say their disability ‘just came on’.  A further 12% acquire disabilities through injuries and accidents.  

Tragically, many young people with acquired disabilities are placed in institutions or aged care facilities because they have no other options. It is heartbreaking to imagine being a young, vibrant and active person, only to suddenly find yourself confined within four walls, grieving the life you once lived. But this could be your reality in an instant. 

Thanks to Youngcare donors, Chris is one of the lucky ones and will be spending Christmas in his own Youngcare Apartment. Thousands more are not so lucky.
